What's New at Reg Braddick Cycles

Our Shop

Our new showroom is one of the biggest changes for us. We have decided to change things around a little to offer you a better choice of bicycles and keep a greater depth of sizes. Our new showroom is cleaner and neater and stocks all the accessories your used to seeing to keep you on the trails. The space we have then created in the other half of the building is being used as warehousing. This means we can store your Christmas bikes at that time of year, and also keep huge stocks of bikes throughout the year. We know we will always have a choice of bikes, styles and sizes to suit everyone.

Winter Idea's

  Turbo Trainers

Want to keep your riding up, but don't want to don the wet weather gear, then what about a turbo trainer.

You can set your bike into the trainer and then ride away to your hearts content in the warm and dry. These are adaptable to most bikes from road to MTB.

You can still use your gears and have an adjustable remote to alter the difficulty of the trainer to provide you with resistance. This will allow you to tailor your workout whether you are looking for a cardio vascular workout or stamina building resistance training.

Starting at £99 for this model which has a magnetic unit, so its quiet and free running, with a remote adjuster.

Winter time can be harsh when you go out for your ride. If like me you suffer from the cold, you need to look at layering your clothes.

Start with a base layer, which is very soft and high wicking. It will keep you warm and dry. This base layer is an essential start as it traps warm air in close to your body.

Altura Inter Base layer £19.99

Then add a jersey. If you already have a short sleeve shirt from summer riding, use a long sleeve base layer to keep your arms a little bit warmer and use the short sleeve jersey. If you haven't already got one, then consider a long sleeved version for added warmth.

Altura Jerseys from £19.99

DeMarchi Jerseys from £39.99

A windproof jacket is an excellent choice. Can be used as a top layer if the weather is dry, or under a waterproof jacket if we are having another typical British summer.

Altura Stream windproof jacket £39.99

DeMarchi windproof jacket £69.99

A nice jacket is an important layer. You want something which is waterproof, but not too hot to wear. Thick enough to trap the air in and keep you warm, but not bulky that you can't carry it around in a bag with you. Its definitely worth looking at the Altura Nevis and Night Vision jackets. Similar jackets, but the Night Vision is a great option for community and night riding as it offers a lot in the way of visibility and has an optional hood. They both offer you a lightweight waterproof jacket, with adjustable cuff, rear pocket (that the jacket will also fold into), dropped tail, twin side and rear vents for airflow.

Night Vision - £59.99

Available in yellow and grey

Nevis - £49.99

Available in blue, grey and yellow
